Gold Resources, Mexico:

Paterson & Cooke has completed the detailed design and will soon to be assisting with the commissioning and start-up of an 82 tph tailings filter plant at their El Aguila mill operations. The filter plant handles either the full tailings tonnage from the thickener underflow, or partial tonnage when the paste backfill plant is operational. The filter cake is discharged onto an overland conveyor for transport to a nearby mined-out pit. Paterson & Cooke’s scope of work included test work for filter sizing parameters, process design including PFD and P&ID development, 3D plant layout and plant GAs issued for construction, equipment sizing, specifications and datasheets for vendor quotation, major piping design and isometric drawings, overland tailings feed pipeline design, and technical bid analysis of major equipment.
